Bess 57 Foot 2007 Liverpool Build Narrow Boat Unique Artwork - Derbyshire

Description

Bess was built in Liverpool in 2007. She is fitted out in oak and oak veneer.

Accommodation includes a spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage. large bathroom with bath and shower attachment + cassette toilet.

The main living area has a sofa/bed, a multifuel stove, dining/work area for four that converts into a double bed and a kitchen area with oven, hob, refrigerator and sinks with granite work surfaces.
The engine is ISUZU 35 with the newly reconditioned gearbox.
Electrics are 12v + 240v with 3000 watts inverter and provision for adding solar panels.

this is a very solid boat ready to be lived in or cruised now.

The unique feature of the boat is the original painting by scenic artist James McCarthy and partner Ruta. These were originally commissioned in 2010 and havebeen touched up by them over the years (most recently one side in 2019).
If the painting is not to your taste - this probably isn't the boat for you.

I am planning to get an up to date boat safety certificate in the next month and one will be supplied prior to completion of sale.

I blacked the hull in 2018 and got new anodes fitted. At that time there was no sign of damage to the hull. The Engine runs well and the gearbox has been renewed (all new internals) last year. My plan is to sell without a survey on the basis that the buyer gets their own and the sale is not finalised until the survey is completed.

The boat is currently on the Peak Forest canal and will remain in that general area until sold.
